Dear Friends,
Our motto, Christ - Community - Commitment, captures the spirit of Saint Theresa, where we believe that a Catholic education is an investment in the present and future of our children.
By beginning with a recognition that each student and member of our school is created by God for a purpose, we can ensure a strong focus on working with parents to help him or her grow into the best version of her or himself. We are part of the Sts. Louis and Zelie Martin parish that includes St. Ann, St. Catherine of Genoa and St. Joseph churches. We work together to provide a Christian Service Program, which enables our children in K1- 8 to use their gifts to help other people in the community. Furthermore, we are blessed with dedicated priests, religious, and lay people who are actively involved in the school.
Out of that sense of purpose and with our supportive atmosphere, our dedicated faculty and staff create a learning environment in which students develop necessary skills for a responsible citizenship which will impact their lives. Our school is an accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, (NEASC) which is proof that our standards are high and our curriculum enables us to meet these standards. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th work in a blended learning environment so that their individual needs are met and to ensure they are properly challenged. Using a generous grant from PriceWaterhouseCooper, we have renovated a former classroom to be a STEM center where students engage in hands on learning. Also, we have a large gymnasium and auditorium which is used for physical education, sports and musical presentations.
Our preschool received an investment from the Lynch Foundation which enabled us to remodel our three classrooms and incorporate top-of-the-line curriculum and classroom supports. Our program is focused on proper child development, pushing language acquisition, socialization, and imagination to ensure that our graduates are ready for academic and emotional success.
As a community, diversity and openness are important. To assist our working families, we offer an After School Program supervised by our professional staff. This program is balanced with homework and playtime. We offer Girls Scouts from K2 through Grade 8, Chess Club, band and instrument lessons, and world language instruction. Our students are actively involved in the school and community.
Our commitment enables us to come together to support each student and each other - in good times and in difficult days. I welcome you to see the difference St. Theresa has made in my own children's lives and to consider the impact it can make in yours.
Thank you and God Bless!
Kevin Donohue,
Principal and Parent
